What is Cambridge primary?
Cambridge Primary starts learners on an exciting educational journey, setting out what they should be able to do at each stage of their primary education. Typically for learners aged 5 to 11 years, it develops learner skills and understanding through the primary years in English as a first or second language, mathematics, science, Cambridge Global Perspectives and ICT. GSS Jain Gurukul offers Cambridge primary from grade 4 onwards.
What is Cambridge Lower secondary?
Cambridge Lower Secondary develops skills and understanding in English, mathematics and science for the first three years of secondary education. It combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment. Our curriculum frameworks for English also include an ‘English as a second language’ option. GSS Jain Gurukul uses Cambridge ICT Starters for Lower Secondary to introduce learners to the key ICT applications they need to achieve computer literacy. It gives a flexible framework to develop ICT skills.
Check point for Lower Secondary (11 to 14 years)
Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint tests have been designed to assess learners at the end of Cambridge Lower Secondary. They are available in English, English as a second language, mathematics, science and Cambridge Global Perspectives, and give valuable feedback on learners’ strengths and weaknesses before they progress to the next stage of education. The tests in other subjects are marked in Cambridge and provide schools with an external international benchmark for learner performance. Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Global Perspectives is assessed by teachers and externally moderated by Cambridge International. Cambridge holds two Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint test series each year, in May and October. The tests cover all major areas of learning in the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum frameworks for English, English as a second language, mathematics and science.

The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, including those whose first language is not English. Cambridge IGCSE offers a flexible and stimulating curriculum, supported with excellent resources and training. For learners, Cambridge IGCSE helps improve performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving. It is the perfect springboard to advanced study. Cambridge in GSS Jain Gurukul offers Languages English, Hindi, Tamil and Subjects Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geography, and Global Perspective. Cambridge IGCSE assessment takes place at the end of the course and can include written, oral, coursework and practical assessment. This broadens opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning, particularly when their first language is not English. In many subjects there is a choice between core and extended curricula, making Cambridge IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities. GSS Jain Gurukul follows Core curriculum of Cambridge is within the ability range of a large majority of students. It provides a full overview of the subject and is targeted at students expected to achieve grades C to G.
